KwabenaBoahen,aprofessorofbioengineeringandofelectricalengineeringatStanfordUniversity,hasenvisionedanewgenerationofcomputerstobebrainlike,orneuromorphic,machinesthatarevastlymoreefficientthantheconventionaldigitalcomputers.Asconventionalcomputerchipsarenotuptothechallengesposedbynext-generationautonomousdronesandmedicalimplants,"wehavereachedthepointwhereweneedtodosomethingdifferent",saysBoahen,alsoamemberofStanfordBio-XandtheStanfordNeurosciencesInstitute."Ourlab"sthreedecadesofexperiencehasputusinapositionwherewecandosomethingdifferent,somethingcompetitive."Moore"slaw,anobservationmadebyIntelCorpco-founderGordonMoorein1965,hasheldupprettywellforfivedecades:Roughlyeverytwoyears,thenumberoftransistorsonecouldfitonachipdoubled,allwhilecostssteadilydeclined.However,transistorsandotherelectroniccomponentsaresosmalltheyarebeginningtobumpupagainstfundamentalphysicallimitsontheirsize.Andthereareneedsforcomputingtobeeverfaster,cheaperandmoreefficient.InthelatestissueofComputinginScienceandEngineering,Boahensaysthatthefutureisnow.Hesaysthatwhileothershavebuiltbrain-inspiredcomputers,hewasquotedinanewsreleasesayingthatheandhiscollaboratorshavedevelopedafive-pointprospectusforhowtobuildneuromorphiccomputersthatdirectlymimicinsiliconwhatthebraindoesinfleshandblood.Thefirsttwopointsoftheprospectusconcernneuronsthemselves,whichunlikecomputersoperateinamixofdigitalandanalogmodes.Intheirdigitalmode,neuronssenddiscrete,all-or-nothingsignalsintheformofelectricalspikes,akintotheonesandzeroesofdigitalcomputers.Buttheyprocessincomingsignalsbyaddingthemallupandfiringonlyonceathresholdisreached－moreakintoadialthanaswitch.ThatobservationledBoahentotryusingtransistorsinamixeddigital-analogmode.Doingso,itturnsout,makeschipsbothmoreenergyefficientandmorerobustwhenthecomponentsdofail,asabout4percentofthesmallesttransistorsareexpectedtodo.Fromthere,Boahenbuildsonneurons"hierarchicalorganization,distributedcomputationandfeedbackloopstocreateavisionofanevenmoreenergyefficient,powerfulandrobustneuromorphiccomputer.Overthelast30years,Boahen"slabhasimplementedmostofitsideasinphysicaldevices,includingNeurogrid,oneofthefirsttrulyneuromorphiccomputers.But,inanothertwoorthreeyears,Boahensays,heexpectshisteamwillhavedesignedandbuiltcomputersimplementingalloftheprospectus"fivepoints."It"scomplementary,"Boahensays,addingthat"it"snotgoingtoreplacecurrentcomputers".Butasmostpersonalcomputersoperatenowherenearthelimitsofconventionalchips,neuromorphiccomputerswouldbemostusefulinembeddedsystemsthathaveextremelytightenergyrequirements,suchasverylow-powerneuralimplantsoron-boardcomputersinautonomousdrones.据华润啤酒业绩报告,2016年1-12月份,华润雪花啤酒综合营业额为人民币286.94亿元,较2015年同比增长2.6%;税后溢利为人民币14.19亿元,同比增长6.8%,股东应占综合溢利为人民币6.29亿元;啤酒销量为1171.5万KL,同比增长0.3%,其中雪花啤酒销量约占总销量的90%;据国家统计据数据,2016年,全国啤酒产量为4506.4万KL,由此计算,华润雪花啤酒的市场份额已增至约26%。　　昨日市场资金面紧势及情绪改善还是有限。
